I am just a minnow here on steemit and one of the best community events I have found and love are contest that allow the other members of the community to submit their talent to win prizes.

I love being creative and challenging others to be creative as well. Almost one week ago I opened up a contest. This contest, https://steemit.com/photocontest/@erodedthoughts/love-them-or-hate-them-clowns-and-scarecrows

This post isn't about my contest, it is about the entry made by @morningpig330 found here: https://steemit.com/art/@morningpig330/clowns-and-scarecrows-love-them-or-hate-them-entry-for-contest-by-erodedthought

This entry blew me away and it has also caught the eye of a lot of the steem art world, the poster @morningpig330 was only a rep 26 when he entered this contest and the entry was only the 4th post made by their account. With this entry he has passed me on the rep count which I find amazing as I am one of only 9 followers this account has.

Talk about taking the creative bull by the horns and turning a chance to win some free steem into a major growth spurt.

I challenge all of you to check out the contest, check out each entry cast your vote for a winner and maybe find some new talent to follow and make some friends along the way.

Casting votes, entering contest and using steemit.chat are great ways to make connections and grow your account like never before.

Thank you again @morningpig330 for your entry and I hope to see much more of your great work.

I like running contests; it's fun, and it's a good way to get people involved in creating content for the platform.

I'll start running some Halloween contests next week, let me know if it's OK to give you a headsup in your comments.

The more the merrier, I like joining them as much as running them. This is only round 1 of this contest.

excellent; your contestants will be able to enter the same work in the upcoming contests. The theme fits!
