After my #thecoffeebreak show in the @thealliance server last Monday I headed over to the @steemalliance server which @jackmiller kindly linked me to, filled with everyone and anyone you might know on the Steem Blockchain quickly @ned joined the voice channel to try and find a new project to delegate to - and regaled the listeners to his guitar work while he waited for people to join the discussion.

It got me thinking, another Discord server to add to the list, more ways for our communities to interact with each other - it's all good - as long as the people that count know how to join in.

But who counts? To me it is everyone, every single person posting and creating on the Steem Blockchain has a voice and a right to be involved - you might have just a few Steem Power or hundreds of thousands - but what it means to you is the same - a chance to share you content, enjoy the community and make FRIENDS THAT LAST - find like minded people and engage them.

Ask me what I did with my life? I spent it with you, my fellow Steemians March 2017 to present day I have been posting, commenting, making friends and enjoying their company - Steem Blockchain Social Network as it was designed. Rewards are nice, but the people on here that make it so special are so much nicer - and that's what takes us all forward.

So if I even try to begin a #Shoutoutsaturday it has to start with @old-guy-photos who brought me here from YouTube, helped and guided me and introduced me to amazing Steemians like @dswigle and ways to post like the #colorchallenge and other tags that would get your work seen.

Growing your account on the Steem Blockchain was as hard then as it is now, it is easy for our newest and brightest accounts to feel lost working hard on posts and seeing little in rewards - and seeing the rewards of others is demoralising. It has always been a struggle to get your content seen, and voted on - that is no different now then it was back then - but now you have far more options to find people and communities to support you and help your progress.

Discords, groups, friends, communities - they are all your best way to get moving forward and progressing on the platform - but it's the friends you make really make the whole experience special - and once you start making friends that is when you stop making posts and start engaging.

As I started to engage more I found people like @coolguy123, @guidesteemit and @nainaztengra . Through the latter I discovered communities like @thealliance which brought me to @enginewitty , @edthecanadian and @tattodjay

Through that foundation I found new friends that would see me through thick and thin, @saffisara, @katrina-ariel, @snook, @ecoinstant, @fiftysixnorth, @robertandrew, @tygertyger, @zen-art, @soyrosa, @derangedvisions, @roundbeargames, @battleaxe, @krazypoet, @captainklaus, @hangin

And as communities grew I found new friends in @welcomewagon with @dreemsteem, @bluefinstudios and others , @helpie run by @meno and his team and @yougotsnekked run by @snekkie with @bugiq

Quickly this post is becoming more about the amazing people I have found on the Steem Blockchain then a shoutout, but at the same time it could go on forever - because there are so many unique and amazing people I have met that make this experience so special. Like @shadowspub with PYPT, and @thekittygirl who is present in every discord show, @thehive who is constantly working to engage the community and @carrieallen with her husband @chrisroberts making @steemmonsters a real blockchain experience.

Engaging community is building, and @abh12345 and @paulag know how to enhance this perfectly, as does our most engaged whales on the platform @fulltimegeek and @theycallmedan - follow them all closely.

In closing we have new communities growing through @xcountytravellers with @steemterminal, existing active Steemians like @steevec , @slobberchops , @molometer and @pennsif leading the platform and it's growing talent to greater things.

The problem with ShoutOut posts is you feel guilty if you miss anyone, it's not possible for me to include everyone but then that is why I resteem and comment so much to share the posts and people I enjoy. @crazybgadventure started the tag, and alongside @ravijojla and @anutu they have a growing community of their own - who knows where it will lead but @blind-spot and @priyanarc are certainly taking the batton up.
