The apple-tree colony is a unique object of the natural reserve fund of Ukraine on the outskirts of the ancient city of Krolevets in the Sumy region. It is an apple bush that covers a large area - 1000 square meters. Over the years, this place has become very popular. During the flowering period of the apple tree, tourists come here from different parts of Ukraine, as well as from Belarus, Russia, Finland, Turkey, Holland and other countries.
The apple-tree colony is one of the 100 natural wonders of Ukraine. These are trunks grown to the ground, which are actually children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren of the mother's trunk, which has not existed for a long time. After all, a unique feature of the apple tree is the ability to self-rooting by branches. When one of the trunks grows old and dies, its branches grow to the ground. This is how a new "tree" appears. So, the miracle apple tree continues its life itself, and this has been happening for more than two centuries! In the spring, the apple-tree colony is covered with pale pink buds, and in the fall it is decorated with mouth-watering red-sided apples. They taste sweet and tart.
