Part of my joining steemit was my fascination with the blockchain. Its fascinating how its going to blow up many industries of commerce - pushing fraud and dishonesty to the fringes. Siacoin is one of those that has incredible potential as a data storage concept.
Im attaching a link to a reddit post. The post is by a team member on the development team of siacoin. They are launching a new miner called an Obelisk running on an a asic card. Its got incredible potential - and would love anyones insight into the product if they know about it.
this is very interesting to read , siacoin has few competitors in the market already which are also doing storage network, i am currently dual mining Siacoin with my 4 gpu rig and will be storing it long term, the siacoin project is good but to introduce ASIC to the equation that is a NO NO for me.

I just picked up some siacoin and love the platform; love the idea of a company that can truly take on dropbox, google drive, or just offer an option to other 'paid cloud storage companies' .... the future is bright; I'll have to read up on that Obelisk; as I'm also starting to get interested in the mining aspect of crypto.

Good points in this article. I was about to start a similair discussion. The future is in blockchain. Crypto prices might be inflated now but the market will find it's way just like it did with the Internet boom. We do need to look better at the insights of every coin. What team is behind it, is there any management. How strong is the product, is there any product at all?
