I’m trying to figure out the most cost effective way to purchase Bullion Coins. I can buy a silver Maple Leaf for Can$ 25.28 which includes a premium of $ 3.85. A gold Maple Leaf ( 1 oz ) costs about $ 1,784 including about a $70 premium. At the current silver/gold ratio of 80 to 1, the equivalent purchase of silver would cost me a premium of $308. Sounds like a no brainer except I can’t afford to buy an ounce of gold . Guess I’ll have to bite the bullet, give up wine, women and song and save my pennies.
