Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

    not at all, its actually quite good if an up vote gives a penny, most of the time it doesnt. When you build your account you get more control over payouts, minnows get no control whatsoever we scrap over the fracion of pennys lol but build your account and you can give 1%, 5% or more, some peoples upvotes are worth dollars, this time next year we will be hundredaires.
