this is a great piece of vintage silver. It was made by the Continental Coin Company from the US Strategic stockpile of silver. Minted in 1981 from the silver stored by the US in Carson City, that was released by the government and sold into private bidders. these are a really common silver trade unit to find, and many can be found in great condition like this one.

I really want one of these, but don't want to pay too much over spot. Still haven't come across one in the generic bins at any coin store I have popped in.
