How Much Silver Should You Stack?!

in silver •  7 years ago

Lets take a few minutes and talk about silver. The fiat dollar controls our every move, it keeps up in debt and it leaves us helpless in the event of a monetary failure. We can talk about stacking day in and day out, we can spend within our means and try to reach the most bold of goals. But when is your stack too big? When do you stop? How much silver should you stack? I guess that depends on your strategy - lets talk about those strategies.

Let me know....How much silver should you stack?

I've been investing for several years now. In terms of all asset classes I put 10 % of my total portfolio into gold and silver bullion. I put 15 % into rental real estate and another 15 % into farm produce and commodities. The biggest chunk goes into stocks at 50 %, and I try to maintain cash at 10 %. I like what John Bogle suggests, which is to allow yourself 5 % gambling money where you are allowed to take big bets in the hopes of huge gains. I think that is a fair number since we all have some urge to gamble but must be careful and diligent with our investments. In terms of bonds and debt instruments, I don't even touch them, which makes me want to do a video/article as to why bonds have become bad investments.

If you end up making a video or article - post it on steemit so I can find it! That sounds interesting! What % do you put in cryptos? Does that portion fall into the stocks or metals category? I am only asking, not to be nosey but because I think overall you have a fantastic strategy (I'm more heavy on the metals though, but thats beside the point). Thanks again for continuously replying my friend - I sincerely appreciate the conversation

I think it depends on your goals in life. For example, if I have 10 percent in silver and 20 percent in gold as a percentage of my networth and were in an inflationary climate then thats enough.

If I think we are in a lower inflationary climate then may 10 persent.

But here is the but I might buy gold and silver as an asset pertection strategy and then I may buy more for that reason if I fear my government or other enemies trying to size them so it depends and for most people its going to be a personal decion

jhonny, I love the rationale! What about in a climate where the asset was considered highly undervalued? Would you go above 20% with the thought that the price may go up? Or that the dollar may go down?
