Any cartoon fan knows how legendary The Simpsons is. Started in 1989 by Matt Groening, the show made its mark on TV due in part through it’s heavily satirical references to pop culture. Lucky for Marvel fans, the popularity of the superhero universe has led to the Simpsons making countless references to its heroes and plot-lines throughout the years. Parodies of popular characters, such as the X-Men, Spiderman, The Incredible Hulk and the Avengers to name a few, have all made it into the show many times. In fact, a cartoon version of Stan Lee even made several appearances on the show, with the real Stan Lee stepping in to voice his animated alter-ego. Safe to say the Simpsons are definitely fans of Marvel! Makes sense since the show literally has a recurring character called Comic-Book Guy.
