Be aware of sin: The greedy bring ruin to their households, but the one who hates bribes will live

Greed ruins entire families and divides the brothers explains the Sacred Scriptures. The love of money is the origin of many evils among people and of the most intense hatred. Greed is in itself a problem, because material riches are scarce, and greed can never be satisfied: "Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income" Ecclesiastes 5:10.
The greedy man always lives in trouble and never finds peace, where there are no enemies he will always find one: "The greedy stir up conflict, but those who trust in the LORD will prosper" Proverbs 28:25. And an example of this are the wars, the objective of the war is to alter the right of property. A war is neither more nor less than the elimination of the human rights in pursuit of a material gain. Greed brings with it the war, and these wars can be private and secret, or public and open like the war between countries.
But also many times greed produces the opposite effect to what is sought: "The stingy are eager to get rich and are unaware that poverty awaits them" Proverbs 28:22. And this is so because the law of harvest and sowing is indefectible, if we are edifying we reap blessing, if we are destructive and chaotic we reap curse: "For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind." Hosea 8:7.
The Holy Bible puts us in a basic choice, we have to choose between life and death, good and evil, man is an ethical creature because he is endowed with reason: "See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction" Deuteronomy 30:15.
Be aware of sin teaches us the Bible, and gives us a beautiful phrase to always keep in mind: "The greedy bring ruin to their households, but the one who hates bribes will live" Proverbs 15:27. Only wisdom, and its path the fear of God can bring true peace that is linked to life, to humanity.
