MADRID - Real Madrid were forced to share points at home to Tottenham Hotspur in Group H's continued Champions League 2017/2018. According to Zinedine Zidane, the next meeting at home to Spurs will be crucial as a final.
In the match that took place at the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid held 1-1 draw. Madrid first conceded after Raphael Varane own goal in the 28th minute. As for them just an equalizer through the action of Cristiano Ronaldo in the 43rd minute.
These results make Madrid and Spurs are now both collecting seven points in the Group H standings. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund and APOEL Nicosia - who are also contestants in the group - just collected one point.
According to Zidane, the clash at Wembley Stadium, 2 November 2017 will be very crucial for both teams. The reason, whoever wins the game will come out as group winners.
"Now there is another game at Wembley.We will go there to try to win it," Zidane said, quoted by Reuters on Wednesday (18/10/2017).
"We will see how the next game goes, the three points we did not get at the Bernabeu we will catch up on Wembley like the final," Zidane continued.
