The Coast Guard Police (PCG) and the Singapore Navy rescued four Indonesians who plunged into the sea near Pedra Branca, an island of stump located in the Singapore Strait and South China Sea. Malaysia called it Batu Puteh.
According to a report by the Singapore media, the Straits Times, the four Indonesians allegedly plunged into the sea after the ship's engine died on Thursday (19/4) morning. "The Singapore Maritime Port Authority (MPA) received the incident report at 2.57 in the morning, "the Straits Times said." The ship is about 0.7 nautical miles northeast of Pedra Branca, in waters off Singapore, "the MPA said in a statement. It is believed to be part of 108 illegal immigrants who will return to Indonesia from Malaysia . Of these, 22 are women, two are pregnant and four are children. A total of 103 survived. A total of 107 passengers were transferred to the Indonesian maritime patrol boat and sent back to Batam.
