The sinister story of the Infinite Road

in sinister •  6 years ago

Years ago, in the city of Corona, California, there was a road called by most local Infinite Road. His real name was Leicester Road.

Now, over 20 years later, the image of Korona has changed and the path no longer exists. Years ago, however, Leicester Road was an unlisted dirt road. The sinister legend said that, especially if you drive by car at night, it never ends. People who ventured on such a journey never returned again.

The urban legend's stubbornness was so great that eventually the local authorities decided to investigate the case. It turned out that in one place, miles from Corona, Leicester Road turned sharply to the left, and there was no sign or warning signs in the place. There was a gap behind the bend, and on the other side a new road began, but it was so perfectly merging visually with the Infinite Road that, seen from a certain angle, it was impossible to see that there was a dangerous canyon in the middle - especially at night.

When they examined the canyon, the police found dozens of cars that had fallen to the bottom of the fatal turn. The victim's skeletons were still attached to the seats.

And another thing: the city of Corona is known that holds the record for missing "time capsules" - an airtight container with memories to be found and opened by future generations. 17 such capsules were buried in the lands of the city and all disappeared from his location.
