Episode 6. Nowhere To Hide...
A woman named Anne Smith mysteriously got shot by a Policeman - the Sheriff's son. She is now in the hospital, in a coma.
Susan, the secretery at the Sheriff's office then overheard a conversation: the Sheriff was planning to arrest / kill Anne to cover up for his son.
Now Susan wants to save Anne Smith and hide , with the help of her Doctor, Dr. Jacobs.
Anne laid still in her bed shivering. The cold air, chilled her body. She could not move, to keep her body warm.
She felt terrified being alone.
She cried out desperately, her loud scream breaking the silence in the room.
Anne stopped screaming, but only for a little while, to catch her breath back...
Then she started again!
She remembered everything now, the horrific memory of her being shot twice. The sounds and vision passing though her mind. Filling her sore head with pain.
Was she going to die here, on the cold pavement? She stopped suddenly, noticing her surrounding more clearly around her, for the first time. Taking everything slowly in, she tried hard to focus and think. She knew now, she was no longer on the cold floor. Her mind was functional again. She was somewhere cold, lying on a bed.
She could smell death around her!
"Where am I...?" she said quietly, moving at last, her stiff body.
"Am I in a hospital... in the basement, is this the morgue? Oh..."
Those were her last words she spoke before she passed out with exhaustion.
All that stress and anxiety was just too much for her damaged body trying hard to recover! She drifted slowly back, in to the darkness. Back into her coma. Lost to the world again...
Susan Fly sat in the office near by. She almost jumped out of her skin when she heard the loud screaming coming from the next room. She stood up in panic, knocking her chair to the floor!
"What going on here?" she said, deeply shocked.
"She's awake... Anne's awake. I must stop her screaming now!"
She ran quickly into the other room, ready to silence her with force, if it was needed.
Anything to stop the loud the noise!
When she got there, the noise stopped. All she saw was Anne Smith sleeping soundly. Like nothing unusual happened.
Susan was baffled. She stopped running, and approached the bed slowly. She leaned over the sleeping young woman, watching her closely worried. She felt her forehead; it was hot and wet. Susan was no doctor, but she knew, just from looking at her, that something was wrong!
Wrapping the blanket tightly around Anne, she tried to keep her warm. She spoke softly to her, "Anne... Anne do you hear me? Please hang in there, my dear. You must survive this... to testify. To bring justice to this corrupted town. We need you. We need you!"
Oh dear, she thought sadly... What is going to happen now? I'm sure the whole hospital heard that wild screaming and for sure that doctor on the other side? What his name?
It will be only a matter of minutes, before somebody finds us down here.
"What should I do?" she mumbled quietly.
Then she heard heavy footsteps running toward her way. Then more footsteps followed.
They were all heading to the small room, where she and Anne were hiding!
Breaking News.
The news broke loose fast! All the local stations were there at the hospital now. Big and small reporters, all trying to out do each other, with their secretive information.
CNN and BBC were there too again, doing their jobs.
They were all like hungry rats, waiting for the cheese to drop.
Excitingly pushing forward to get a piece of the cheese (the action) around them.
A lady reporter pushed forward and spoke. "A young woman was kidnapped today from this hospital... Yes, the same woman who was shot early on today... and the strange thing about this story is... she was in a coma. The police are here, right now looking for her, room to room. If they find her, they will arrest her. The question here is... What is happening here in this sleeping town... who kidnapped her? Or did she really escape by herself?
We will find out more in a few hours time. The hospital will hold a press conference soon. So stay tuned folks to your television sets, for more Breaking News today," she said sweetly, ending her report with a friendly smile.
"Cut," she said sharply, her sweet smile vanishing from her face.
Grumpily, she said to her camera man, "Looks like we're in for a long wait."
"Yeah I know... that's what I hate about this job, the long wait," he replied, packing his heavy camera away.
"Me too," she said.
The steps came closer and closer to her. She tried to hide. She checked everywhere.
There was only one window in the two rooms, high up in the wall, she would need a ladder to reach it. So there was no way could she carry Anne up there.
They were trapped... there was nowhere to hide!
All she could hope for, to pray for, was that who ever was approaching here fast, would not make her worst nightmare... come true!
That her worst enemy, was on his way to get them.
Deputy Jim and his men!
Deputy Jim hurried his steps, looking for Anne and the kidnapper. He could feel he was getting closer as they covered more and more of un-searched areas of the hospital.
His veins on his right hand tensed as he heard a faint noise as he reached for his gun!
