Parkour Tutorial Sites - The Best Sites to Learn Parkour

Before we start

There are several things you should be aware of. One of them is that not all parkour sites are created equal. Some of them have BS on them. Parkour is getting popular and people are posting silly tutorials, so you need to be aware of what's good and what's bad.

But here I'm going to provide you with a list of good parkour tutorial sites, as well as how to identify scam sites.

What is happening

Parkour originated in France and the person responsible for the popularity of parkour is David Belle. Parkour started to become popular in America around 2002, and since then an influx of people has turned to it.

You can walk down the street and see a group of people run in front of you, jump on benches, run on walls and disappear. And you're left to yourself thinking "Whoa! I want to learn this!"

Identify legitimate parkour sites

Like I said earlier. There are many scam sites. Many of them are kids who just post tutorials on YouTube in the hopes of getting views and maybe making money from the advertising.

I'm not saying that some kids don't know what they're talking about. But I tell you that you have to be smart to know who you are listening to.

For example, you will find videos of ten year olds teaching you the correct landing and the correct roll technique. Then they will show you the technique and tell you that if you do it like them you can safely jump off a 10ft building.

Do you really want to listen to a kid jump off a bench telling yourself to jump off a 10 foot building? I do not think so.

Parkour movements are also difficult to explain. So any site you visit, make sure they have videos. Educational videos on parkour are essential. It is much easier to learn from a video than from a text instruction. At least in parkour.

Educational videos on parkour

That said, there are several parkour tutorial sites that offer instructions. Here are my favorites that I turn to when I need help learning new moves.

  1. Tapp Brothers
  2. Parkour Laflair

These two are my favorites by far due to the ease and quality of teaching. The Tapp Brothers are a bit more professional and serious, while the Laflair Parkour is more comedic. But still, they offer quality information.
