The Philadelphia Celtics finished their defeats in front of the Cavaliers Cavaliers and beat them 108-97 last night in the NBA.

The Spurs have lost 11 straight games to the Cavaliers since January 2015, but they have won for the first time in three games this season.

Cameroon's Joel Emped, double-digit, scored 17 points, 14 rebounds and JR Redek added 22 points.

LeBron James scored 30 points for Cavaliers, who lost for the third time in five games since the end of the All-Star holiday.

Sixers are in sixth place in the Eastern Division with 33 wins against 27, while Cavaliers are in third place with 36 wins and 25 losses.

Sixers are seeking to return to the playoffs, for the first time since the 2011-2012 season.

In another match, Isaya Thomas scored 29 points, 29 minutes, to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 131-113 win over the Miami Heat.

Heat is eighth in the Eastern Division, the last of the qualifying spots, while the Lakers are 11th in the West.
