SketchCrazed is an opportunity for me to share the very strange drawings I do. The common thread is in the attempt to explore new relationships of form, contrast, and pattern, and to see where they take me.
La Conner
La Conner is a quaint fishing town in Washington state, on the Swinomish channel, where boats take as an inland channel to the San Juan islands. It is popular with tourists, so you see many small galleries, souvenir shops, and chowder houses. Everything seemed too nice to sketch, so I sat on a bench by the docks and took shapes of things freely to create this composite.
Back home I scanned it and added the gray tone in Photoshop, just to give the drawing some "color".

Love this, @mrsomebody ! Somehow you deconstructed the space and still captured the feeling of it! I like this :)

Thank you @veryspider. That was the goal, to make it a scene as well as an abstraction.
