I understand that sometimes trying to achieve your KPIs feels out of distance out of reach and you're just trying to keep up. There are beauty therapists every single day killing it with their full day of their regular clients selling retail off the shelf like its nothing and you're wondering what am I doing differently? Well, there is one factor that will help you grow your success in the beauty industry and that is mastering your skin consultations. We're going to be focusing on mastering your skin consultations today so you can strive for the top and be successful in your career.

The first thing you need to do before you even start a consultation with your client is they need to fill a consultation form in now know most businesses are amazing at this and they do have their own consultation forms there are still businesses out there today that don't maximize their consultation forms but I'm telling you this is so important for your consultations so making sure that they fill in a consultation form. If they are an existing client you can get them to fill in a smaller form just to double-check nothing's changed no new medications allergies any recent surgeries anything like that that you need to know about if they're also an existing client print out their client history before they even come into the room with you, it's really important for you to recap on what you've talked about them before looking at their history as well because that's going to make a difference when you're doing a consultation.

Step number two confirming the treatment the client is booked in for and explaining the treatment they're having today now making sure the clients booked in for the right treatment is important because there are times where the client hasn't booked in that treatment and it's been booked in wrong by a receptionist by the therapist who looked after the last time. So I always double check and confirm the treatment there booked in for. It's also important you go through exactly what the treatment entails so the client knows what to expect don't be that beauty therapist that talks through exactly every single step you're doing in a relaxing facial because it it's so annoying for clients. obviously, if it's an advanced skin treatment like chemical peels or micro needling it is important that you are asking questions throughout their treatment because you need to know how the clients feeling. by the way, if you have a favorite skin treatment let me know down below because there are so many out there today and I'm interested to know what you love most.

Now the third thing to do is asking questions and this is something that I don't see beauty therapists doing enough of they don't ask enough questions and sometimes you're probably thinking do I really need to know all that information wellyou do if you really want to maximize your retail sales this is key I promise you so in the consultation process this is the time to ask as many questions aspossible find out their history their lifestyle their concerns also their skin care routine find out as much information as possible I also find outwhy they're concerned with that on their skin how long have they been strugglingwith a skin condition for or what have they been doing currently to help withthat skin condition it just helps you understand what the client has beendoing at home so there are my three key steps to mastering of skin consultationsget these right and everything also flows so much easier for you not onlyare you going to maximize your retail sales you're going to be able to hityour other targets as well with rebooking, treatment planning every thing you'll be feeling a lot more successful in your career.
