This Winter has been so rough on my skin. It seems like I have tried everything to boost hydration and moisture. On a random trip to the Japanese beauty store in San Jose, I thought I should give K Beauty a try. I am so excited to share a new brand I found with you all It's Skin! It's Skin is a leading cosmetic brand in Korea that strives to enhance skin's natural beauty. Developed by dermatologists from Seoul University, the modern skin care solutions combine natural ingredients and state-of-the-art science with innovative and fun packaging. The packaging really is the CUTEST thing I have ever seen in skincare. Over the past two weeks, I have used their Tiger CICA gel cream and moisturizing balm at night to help boost my skin hydration. The results are impressive.
To help my dry and flaky skin I started applying the gel cream. It is a lightweight water gel that absorbs instantly. The gel is made of CENTELLA ASIATICA which helps to calm and strengthen the skin barrier. They say it was discovered by natives in Madagascar they saw wounded tigers rolling all over it in order to heal their wounds! I noticed right away that my skin looked better after just a few days. The gel really helps plump up fine lines and wrinkles and bond moisture to my skin. This is great for oily skin or paired with the moisturizing balm for dry skin.
After the gel, I would apply the moisturizing balm. This is a heavier consistency and really soothes my skin. I like that it forms a protective barrier and does not wear off overnight. I wake up with hydrated skin. The layering really helps to up my skin's hydration. The moisture balm contains the same Cica-Leaf Barrieras the gel so it helps with elasticity, cell regeneration, hydration, plus it helps protect and heal damaged skin.
I also tried out the Cookie and Hand cream in all three "flavors" Vanilla, Strawberry and Mint. These are so cute, smell delicious without being overpowering, and leave my hands so soft! This hand cream contains super moisturizing and nourishing ingredients like Macadamia Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter, and Sweet Almond Oil.Plus, I tried out their Macaroon lip balms and blushes. The pineapple lip balm is my favorite; I carry it everywhere! I am swatching the cheek colors over on Instastories today and will save them to my makeup highlight tab!
Overall, I am excited to find a brand that blends natural ingredients with real results. The Tiger CICA moisturizing balm is my new must-have night cream.
