Skincare: Step Back to Basics - Part 3

In part 2, I said that I used toner to ready my skin for hydration and moisture. It is a helpful to the skin because without it, dryness would creep in and cause acne to break out. There would be many problems that could arise if we did not bring back some of the moisture we lost while washing our face. Not so fun fact, if you don't keep your skin hydrated and moisturised, more wrinkles may develop in long term view and your skin could age quicker.

Now, let me tell you the difference between hydration and moisture. Hydrators help the skin absorb more water by a humectant. A humectant has a ability to reel in water from it's surroundings to the skin. Like tissue on a wet table. Moisturisers create a barrier to protect whatever water content we have in our skin and prevents it from dissipating. For example, a lid over boiling water, It brings back the vapour and have it drip down back to the source.

My current product in use is Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream. I am already on my second tube and it hasn't let me down. It has a creamy yet soft texture with a gentle smell of freshly getting out of the shower. It doesn't leave any grease on the skin but leaves my skin slightly glowing. Something like a natural glow from within. Klairs states it is a comforting, deeply hydrating moisturiser, contains a rich blend of hydrating ingredients free of dyes, fragrance and animal-based components. All claims I find very true.

I have been using this for 2 months now and it always leaves my skin soft with more of that redness reducing trick I like. I would definitely recommend this for sensitive and dry skin for sure. Hope you enjoyed and learned a little more from this post. Have a great day!

Thanks! I already use some hand creames and face creames, those are really helpful. Btw, my upvote doesn't worth anything 'cuz I'm a newbie here, but I'm posting this comment as a support. If you want, you can check my profile and leave me some feedback. And yeah, I'm 17 :) PEACE!
