in skyscrapers •  7 years ago

As time goes by, and the years accumulate, we realize that every day man wants to do something new, or simply wants to make something bigger that already exists. This is where the buildings come in.

From ancient times the typical houses of people were flush with the earth. Different cultures or tribes implemented to make their dwellings in the top of the trees, well they began to look for to live "in the airs". And little by little, they began to look for to construct things much higher, as, for example, the ancient Egyptians gave their example with the great pyramids.

The great towers are also known as skyscrapers, and this name is given because of its great height and that is why they say they are "scratching the sky". These buildings are very tall, and people use it either as a place to live, full of apartments or as a place to work, full of offices.

Why should such tall towers be built?

As they have some advantages, the main advantage is to have a very large space used in a small earth space. This means that to build a large building is not necessary to have a large area of land because what matters is what you build up, its number of floors and everything that is able to accommodate that place.

Another of its advantages at a business level is that a company manages to unite all its departments and all its people in one place, and this obviously helps both the union and performance as the owner's pocket.

As a large number of employees or people go to the same place, this helps to reduce the use of personal vehicles, as people prefer to travel on public transport.

The city that possesses a greater amount of skyscrapers is in China, Hong Kong, with a quantity of 1302.

Then it follows New York, in the United States, with a quantity of 721.

And third would be Tokyo in Japan, with a number of 481 skyscrapers.

Among the biggest skyscrapers that exist I will name a couple of them:

  • We have the "Burj Khalifa", located in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates which is about 828 meters high. It is the highest in the world since 2010.
  • Then follows the "Towers of Abraj Al-Bait", located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, is about 601 meters high.
  • We also have "One World Trade Center", located in New York, the United States, which is about 542 meters high.
  • We also have "Taipei 101", located in Taipei, Taiwan which is about 508 meters high.
  • Then follows the "Shanghai International Financial Center", located in Shanghai, China, which is about 492 meters high.

And those are only 5 of the many super skyscrapers that exist, for now, all over the world, which demonstrates that the construction of tall towers has stepped strongly with their creations, are striking because of their large size and are imposing, it is evident that many people are surprised by these creations.

I know the building.
very good,,,

Yeah! Thanks for your interest, @adubar

You have not mentioned in the reasons: now we can grow fruits and vegetables indoor so that would be the next step to produce them in skyscrapers in the city, so transportation time/costs can be reduced as well.

This is an awesome idea, @coinkingz
