Our SkyWay Australian partner Rod Hook has paid another visit to Minsk. This time he was accompanied by Peter Doggett, Australia’s National Rail Safety Regulator Executive Director, National Operations. The purpose of the visit was to provide Peter with a first-hand look at the technology with a view to coordinating joint action for certification of the SkyWay transport in Australia. Peter and Rod both reviewed the work of the project designing organization, the pilot production facility and the SkyWay demonstration and certification center.
As a regulator, Peter is not in a position to indicate favouritism or otherwise express his personal opinion on the relative merits of competing projects. His role will be to decide on the safety of our SkyWay system or any other rail network presented to him. Rod Hook, however, shared his opinion for us. He said “I think Mr. Doggett, like me during my first visit here, could not but be impressed by the level of sophistication of all the technology’s details and the depth of Dr. Anatoly Yunitskiy’s technical expertise”.
Meetings and negotiations between Rod Hook and Anatoly Yunitskiy continued throughout the three-day visit where a wide range of issues was discussed. Work on the Australian SkyWay development continues.
