Slack keeps growing like crazy with new ways of using the app besides team communications. Last year we at Standuply explored that and composed the list of 400 Slack communities. They are used by many enthusiasts purely for knowledge sharing and chats all over the Globe.
Nine months later we decided to run the same research to observe the trend and hopefully find new tasty communities. It turns out a lot has happened:
There are more than 1000 Slack communities thriving online
It’s fascinating to see the rise of Slack communities. See our findings:
- in 9 months the number of Slack communities grew by 2.5 times.
- the total number of their members is more than 1.000.000 people.
- Bootstrap chat grew from 3500 to 15000 members in less than a year.
Check out the lists of 1000 #Slack groups divided by categories on these links (Medium blog) below:
- IT-Talks (154 pcs.)
- Product Talks (113 pcs.)
- Programming Talks (156 pcs.)
- Hardware Talks (27 pcs.)
- Finance, Marketing and Blockchain Talks (94 pcs.)

If you know any other Slack communities that should be included in the list, feel free to suggest them in the comments.
