Brent crude rose to $57 per barrel for the first time since February 2020

The price of a barrel of Brent crude on the London Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) rose to $57.05 by 4:22 Moscow time. The indicator exceeded the $57 mark for the first time since February 24, 2020. The price increase for the day was 2.49%.

WTI crude for February delivery is sold on ICE for $53.63 per barrel. During the day, the price increased by 2.64%.

On the eve of the Russian Urals oil, the price of which is calculated from the Brent price, reached the highest price since January 8, 2020. Over the past three months, Urals has risen in price by more than 40%, and since the beginning of the year — by almost 10%.
