Eloquence

It's a beautiful word that describes a well structured phrasing. It makes a body wonder, are those who speak eloquently born with such natural talent? Or does it take practice like most other things? I'm sure I'm not certain either way, I could make guesses, I suppose.

Does perhaps the implications of a set collection of knowledge in the sphere of your mind dictate your own refinement of that knowledge? That is, the more you know, the more you know you can know - while still being in tune with one's own understanding on the limits of the human capacity to know?

And to then test those ideas of limitations, to bring your mind to the brink of all known knowledge and to travel into the realms of fantasy and fiction (or at least said to be such by those who's faith in what is already known restricts the notion that life is not all that it appears to be) - and perhaps discover new knowledge, or merely to renew and rehash what is already known in a more sleek and appealing package.

It's quite conceivable that there is no new knowledge, at least as far as the human cosmic experience is concerned, yet to each individual the quest for knowledge is deeply personal, and always new, and fresh, and desirable in whichever packaging it appears. Like a first cigarette, who really cares if it's menthol, or light, or full flavor, if one has not experienced the difference for themselves.

A million words on what is already understood by millions who have gone before, for those millions who have yet to understand. As it is, I know that I don't know nothing, and hardly know half of anything, but I'd like to think that everything is known collectively, cosmically. The nifty part being, that we all may know a thing or two that no one else does.

Very interesting look at knowledge and its creation/ discovery. I really like the last part. I also wonder if everything there is to know is already known collectively throughout the universe. Or is there still more that can be discovered? Nice post, really got me thinking :)
