Sliderfest Guinea Minnow Opening Status

So if you've seen this post about the Shane and Muxxy Show, you may remember that I am the new Guinea Minnow for Sliderfest. I feel very lucky to have been chosen and after less than a day, I am filled with overwhelming joy about my new slider. So what have I been doing with my first 19 hours of slider heaven? I've been going beserk upvoting comments to help save Bailey, the sick pup who got dumped on @rhondak. Here's the thing. Before @Gmuxx made me the guinea minnow, I'd already been upvoting comments. Only then I could only upvote with 100%. When he told me it was happening, I sat on my hands for a while, and managed to get back up to 75% power.

So then I went crazy upvoting... around 9% at the reduced weight gave me 1 cent upvotes. Then rested over night and went bonkers again today. Here's my status as I work on this post.

Now while this isn't a whole lot of spreading the love around at the moment, it is working very hard on a project that is important to me. And doing it without bottoming out my voting power.

Now my plan is to check my curation rewards tab every week at about the same time. Here it is from yesterday evening, right around when my delegation showed up in my wallet.

One of the things I am most excited to find out with all this is whether the increase in curation rewards would actually be able to pay for a delegation. If so, this would be really important information for the sliderfest project as well as for other minnows who might want to take the income from a whale slap or curie and rent themselves a slider for a month!

Important thing. If you do this and either win or rent a delegation for a slider, be sure you refresh your browser a few times before you go upvoting. I had trouble getting it to show the slider initially and threw some 100% votes when I didn't mean to. I also found this morning it didn't show when I tried to use esteem on my tablet instead of Chrome. I think I will be deleting esteem.

I offered to send the SBD from this post to the Sliderfest project, but @Gmuxx and I agreed that right now the best thing we could do was send the SBD to @rhondak for Tazewell ARC. It sounds like she might have a good bit of the most urgent funding needed for Bailey, but Tazewell ARC needs some repairs desperately before winter and if Bailey is heading north once he's well, he could take some friends along for the ride if there is funding for their vetting also. So my SBD income for your upvotes here will be sent over to @rhondak as soon as they come in. Please consider throwing some of her posts an upvote also if you can spare them.
