My first painting on dada :D

What is dada?

https://dada.nyc/

Well, not an expert here and I am still trying to figure it out, but at first glance it seems to be a social platform for artists where they can engage in visual conversations, and the cool thing about it is that it all happens on blockchain. I don't understand yet if they have a special token or a reward system for artists, but from what I read they have an exclusive gallery where they promote the artist, sell a limited number of digital copies and eventually reward the artist.
I say eventually , because just dipped my toes in the water so I am waiting to see if any reward comes to me :P

For the DaDa gallery, I think I have to install a metamask and I haven’t done that yet so I do not know if this one will ever enter the gallery, but since it is the first one I will consider it an experiment, because that is what this has been , I played with the tool (a paint like interface on the platform) and I will not hold high hopes for rewards on this one :P

My biggest hope for this first DaDa artwork is, to find more steemians here, that have created on DaDa :P, hoping to make some friends, share dada experiences and start some visual conversations :P

About the “paint like tool “ and painting process :D

At first I thought this was impossible, everything was a bit laggy and everytime I tried to draw a line I was getting more points instead of lines, but eventually I renounced control and allowed the tool to dictate the process and I really have to say this is so much fuuun !!!

I love it , you can get an impressionist, pointillism style or you can go for a decorative abstract style or combine them like I did :)

Also I think is not that hard to go for more styles of illustration, and I think it is very interesting how the limitations of the tool create a sort of cohesiveness between artists and the message and idea matter more than the execution.

For this artwork I had no initial plan, I just wanted to find the best way to use the tool (try different styles) so I started to do a master copy after the famous austrian artist Gustav Klimt “Woman with Fan”.

When I started I was sure I was not gonna finish or save the artwork, because before that I tried just spelling words or draw different shapes and nothing would work, so ended up not saving any of the previous attempts .
The more I tried not to get fixated on little details (like the fact I could not paint the eyes in the same direction as the masterpiece ) the better and enjoyable the process bacome.
Next time I will do an original concept (dough I think master copy with dada tool limitations is quite original :P) and I will follow all the right steps to get my artwork into the gallery :P

here are details of the sides where you could engage in a visual conversation :D

@stellabelle is just too adorable. I hope to get her engaged in a conversation again. I like her heart.
You did amazingly well. Anything you touch gets transformed haha. Nice job my dear. It would be nice if they really reward as you hoped because you deserve the massive exposure due to your amazing art works. Keep being you dear.

...and I will not hold high hopes for rewards on this one :P

And yes...i love that. It is never a crime to have high hopes especially when you have such a great talent. Well done dear. Keep soaring. I know you are ready for the world.

Yes she is and thanks to the interview I understood better what I should do on the site , and glad to discover that the founders were so down to earth

That is absolutely impressive.

thank you

Anytime. 😊

That is stunning. Well done. Wow!

Thank you :)

extraordinary way to achieve a goal that satisfies your work

Thank you , really this is after I thought it was impossible:))

What do you mean with dada??

check the links in the post , is a social platform for artists and an online art gallery , where you can buy art in eth

Finally post it..and it worth to spread

:) thanks 🙏

Smile, if you haven't master this tools and you are able to produce something beautiful like this, I wonder what would happen by the time you master the use of dada gallery.
I love it, it makes perfect sense to me.

I don't know how much more you can master the tool but sure do you can adapt it to different styles:)

I looked into DaDa but couldnt really figure out the process so gave up and left. I figured maybe if they get anywhere with it I could check it out again.

I did that too, a week before , but it was bugging me that oter artists were there having fun and I couldn't so I tried again :p

I'm going to take a look as I am into posting art in any place I can. Plus the idea of a drawing/art platform within seems intriguing. Your 'attempt' is very, very good. Post very informative. Thank you.

pls try it and don't give up fast , is a bit tricky at first but is so nice :) and become my friend there if you sign in :P

Your painting is awesome.

thank you :)

Muy linda tu pintura...

gracias I guess :P don't speak spanish but I do understand :) thank you for appreciating my work

Maybe my vote is nothing compared to what the master that is in steemit. but I've given my votes aren't even worth but at least I've tried my best

I appreciate the engagement and feedback too not only the vote :) thank you for coming to my blog :)

me at steemit still a beginner and I want to give my vote to one more excellent in steemit. I want to learn a work of great people who I give sound

That sounds like a really cool idea. A much better way to spend one's time online than just trash talking and calling names, like on Twitter.

well I don't spend time on tweets aldough I should maybe, but yes dada is a productive and creative way to spend some time online
thank you for coming to my blog

I always see the art of @alexandravart is so good

thank you :)

ah le dada c'est pas mon Dada ... last year i was lucky enough to get to paris for a weekend ... well three nights and i got to the artist zone in Montmartre ... there's a Dali museum there. Absolutely mon dada, but my greatest discovery there was (not absinthe but) Patrick Rubinstein...

nonetheless, it looks great and its way more than i could accomplish by hand so please accept my humble vote

vote.jpeg

then we go sleepy ... before i go below 90 ... wouldnt you with you could exchange that system for 5 or 10 full power votes a day instead sometimes ? xD

good luck, keep it up, show more , don't let people tell you what you like, it's art not sales

Wow this is really wonderful ....one fact about art works is that it must come from the heart, from your inner self. If you don't agree inwardly with the work of art then when you find it challenging all you do is to give up. Your first attempt or lets say trial is really great. Keep it up with time we will celebrate you all over the world .

thank you for your very kind words and hope they will come true, the challenging part is the fun part and giving up is out of question :)

Wow @alexandravart . This is such a beautiful piece, I can't wait to see more and wish you the greatest upvote success :P

thank you :)

Really beautiful!!!!

thank you :)

This is really cool. The 'Tool" your talking about is that controlled by your mouse? Or does it require a Tablet with a stylus? And the next question I have is can you post Art works that you have produced by other means there?

the tool is very "paint" like, you can control it both with mouse or tablet, I work with tablet (couldn't do it with a mouse ) it is a very simple tool, you do not have layers or too many options but that creates the cohesiveness between the artworks, and it is more about the dialogue between artists so you can't upload artworks , just draw them there. the best collections are curated by the dada team and put in a online blockchain gallery where people can buy a limited number of prints with ETH

I'm really impressed by what you have been able to achieve already Alex. It's great to see the transition from Gustav Klimt's 'Woman with Fan' to your own.

The eyes are great. Making them larger, and then the mouth fuller and giving a lift to the hairstyle gives her a contemporary look now.

I'll certainly have a look at the DaDa gallery now too. 🦋

oo the collaboration on klimt has progressed so beautifully, I am so surprised and amazed , I will have to make a new post about the other artist's work too

YES. Was looking at them last night. Fabulous continuations which may inspire more artists at Steemit to join in as well.

Wonderful to see how your painting has inspired others to continue with this decorative style. Klimt's painting was a great choice to work with, as there are so many elements that can be drawn from. 🦋

yes I think first chance I get to some free time is to go back to that collection, is my favorite so far :D

DADADADADADADADADA :) Love your work!! Resteemed and Followed :)

in romanian (I am romanian) da da means yes yes :)) so love how your comment looks yes yes yes yes thank you for appreciating my work and followed back , your collaborative art journey work reminds me of @yusaymon 's style a bit, lovely <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Gorgeous work @alexandravart.

yes saw your name in the chatroom of dada and knew I saw it somewhere else , so here you are , I knew you from steemit :) hope we get to work together on dada and remain friends here too :) thanks for coming to say hi :P

Yes- hopefully we will be able to work on a visual 'conversation' together

This is brilliant! I just discovered you (through your comment on @debart's work) and am looking forward to going through your blog now =)

I have somewhat of an emotional connection with the most famous Klimt painting (The Kiss) because in the beginning of my previous relationship, I was introduced to his work by her and it was the first one she sent me.

Also, thank you for introducing me to Dada... It seems like a very interesting project.

@mandelsage

thank you for coming , your blog is amazing, happy to meet and follow you

Thank you very much =) I haven't had time to register and get started on Dada yet but will soon.

Oh, if you meant to follow me, I think you may have mis-clicked... You're not in my 'followers' list yet ;P

or double clicked :))) sometimes that happens :)

All sorted now ;P ... And thank you so very much for the resteem! (For the upvote too but resteems are so rare - it shows that you really thought my post worthwhile ... <3 ).
