Hello everyone!!

I want to introduce you to Orchis, this beautiful girl represents the fourth flower of my collection.

A few days ago I started a flower collection, this week I drew orchids, a beautiful flower that we can find in different places and in different shapes and colors.

Today I draw a pink orchid following the same concept that I have been doing.

ORCHIS

Orchids are a family of monocotyledonous plants that are distinguished by the complexity of their flowers and by their ecological interactions with pollinating agents and fungi with which they form mycorrhizae.
The family comprises approximately 25,000 species (some sources report 30,000), which makes it one of the families with the highest specific richness among angiosperms. To this natural diversity are added 60 000 hybrids and varieties produced by the floriculturists.
he orchids can be recognized by their flowers of strongly bilateral symmetry, in which the middle part of the inner whorl of tepals called labelo is deeply modified, and the stamens are fused to the style, at least at the base.
The orchids constitute a group of plants of extremely diverse morphology. Its size varies from a few millimeters in length to gigantic aggregations that can weigh several hundred kilograms or lengths up to 13.4 m

To start, I will need the following tools:

• Mechanical Pencils.
• HB, 4B, 6B Leads.
• Charcoal Pencil.
• Color Pencils. (PRISMACOLOR)
• Brush.
• Diffuser.
• Moldable Eraser.
• A4 Bristol 135G.

As I did?

• This is a fun job, I'm going to start the illustration by painting the flower, in my previous post I showed because starting with the color is the best, since we will not dirty the paper so much.

• What I did was to mix different shades of pink, red, purple, to make the effects of each petal.
  I was mixing and degrading the tones to give a more real effect.

• We can see the orchids finished in color.

• Now, I will start the part in charcoal, begin by the nose illustrating the dark areas, with the brush I created the details and the volume of the nose.

• I did the skin tone with the HB pencil, the shadows and the volume with a 4B.
  I had a small problem, because the cardboard where I was working is more porous than the opaline, where I usually work better, and I did not allow myself to fade well with the brush, but after several hours trying I could do it.

• I continued illustrating the mouth and the chin.
  in the mouth I used the moldable eraser to make the lips shine.

• After giving life to the face of our beautiful lady, i illustrate the arms giving the feeling that her hands are in the hair.

• Next illustrate in hair, using the charcoal making lines that are blurred in the stroke.

• A little trick that used to get reflections to the hair is to remove the stick to a piece of adhesive tape and place it in the hair area, then make strokes so that they adhere, and we have white strokes!

When finished with the hair, the illustration is ready! This is a collage of the process:
