Tips on Pre Exam and The Exam itself

in smalltalk •  7 years ago

Hi, there. Sorry for the long, long inactivity on my account. I had to prepare quite a lot of things in order to facing my semesterial exam, and it was exhausting. Like all the students out there, i know how you feel, bruh.

So, i'm not one of the best advisor for exam preparing, but i myself get pretty good scores on exams, no intention to brag. There are lots of methods that can be used in preparing an exam. Whether it's before the exam, or during the exam itself. Now, i'm not the smartest guy, but i scraped by, by getting decent marks, while still working out, even playing games for hours, so.... Here's the stuff:

  1. Understand The Subject
Now, a lot of students would easily differentiate subjects with it's own kinds. For instance; Math, Physics, Economies, are grouped as subjects that focuses on counting. These are the subjects that does not require great memory. Which i find quite easy. And the rest of the subjects, are mostly memory-based, which is a hassle to keep up. Especially if you have to memorize many chapters and pages and subjects.

  2. Choose the Method
The "Method" that i'm talking about here, is actually relative. I mean, feel free to choose which method that suits your kind of studying. But, what i'm trying to imply here is, use the proper method for the proper subject. Example; I'm studying math, and it's basically just formulas. So, i study the basics, because in my opinion, the basics are the most important. With understanding the basics, we can improve/upgrade to the next tier of difficulty. Another example is, I'm studying Social Studies. It's full of explanations. So, i usually form the explanations into shorter, more compact version. Which i can understand, and memorize easily. There are also a method that uses your creativity, such as mind-mapping. This is a good substitute method for the 2nd example, since it can greatly boost your ability of memorizing.

  3. Eat good food, have good sleeps, and stay positive
Having a good mind won't do much if you don't have a good lifestyle. Our body is one with our mind. So, if our body is healthy, the mind would surely follow. Eating healthy foods are the best way to improve your health, and mental skills. Sleeping are also required. Wouldn't want to doze off during the exam, would we? And most of all, staying positive and believing that "We Can Do It". This will boost our morale and prevent our mind from blanking in the middle of the test. Trust me, i've been through it. The whole point is, to prevent unexpected things, such as sickness, mental downing, or even passing out because the mental is not strong enough.

I suppose that's all i can share. Keep in mind that i'm no teacher nor possessing any experience of teaching, and I Live in a country with a delicate education system. See you all soon....
