Swimming Along
In my previous “Small Time Operator” post, I talked about my first trip to discord through the PAL link "minnow support" on my Steemit dashboard. After I met so many great people in the PAL server, I was uplifted and “steamed” enough to swim a little further and noticed a post by @benedict08.
@benedict08's genuine and heartfelt shout out post about the Plankton community, caused me to follow him there!
Great Find!
I am so glad I followed him there and here is why:
When I arrived I found everything @benedict08 had claimed about the special school of Plankton to be true.
New Friends!
I met @mermaidvampire and I now consider her to be a friend and mentor. Even when she is very busy she takes the time to answer my questions.
With the help of some of the earliest and dedicated Plankton members, she has built up the Planktons to be an up and coming force!
There are many active and dedicated members! For example, check out @gerber’s post here.
Through contests and posts, these Planktons are adding value to Steemit, and adding SP to each of their accounts.
The daily contests held by @mermaidvampire generate Steem for all VIP Plankton members, because all Plankton VIP get a share of the generated rewards every day, without fail!
Even those with less than 20 staked Plankton get a chance to take a portion of the rewards; all that is required is an entry into the contest!
New Developments!
And, in one of the latest developments, the Plankton community will award Plankton tokens for high quality posts and comments that they see on Steemit.
