You, the smart contract human.

One of my favourite films, aside from interstellar, oblivion and a handful of the ‘full package’ films with sci-fi, music scores, incredible acting and future utopia visioning of what’s next is the 2009 classic ‘moon’ with sam rockwell.

As we cascade into the new year I’m left thinking about this last decade and how in some ways, I have no memory of it — or at least, let’s say, it does not matter at all, I still got to here, this pocket or envelope of time in this fucking insane simulation of the human condition.

New Years are a great time for a Capricorn, fresh fucking stomping energy, clear slates, ready to go energy, anything is possible, in any place, no matter where I’ll always try and get the best out of nothing, squeezing the very source for water and then some — it’s determination like that, while I still have the mobility in my body that drives me forward.

Moon is a particularly favourite of mine to play at the new year because it reminds me of the whole package of the notion of work, love, exercise, target based lives that we all live out each day on this spinning only known human outpost in the galaxy — crypto aims to change the way that operates in some ways, becoming self valued gdp states of us, it’s an incredibly empowering idea to take back who we are.

To be come stateless inside a system of state driven operations, to deny data to drive the way your identity is shared and loaded and aggregated by the many ancillary systems that serve our supposed worlds — the ones that have cut down unabashed the trees of the lungs of our planet, the amazon, without a care for the broader impacts.

No, heading to the moon for a three year stint (in the future I guess you will have a smart contract locked in place) seems like a good call actually, sure you’ll miss your family but you can email/call and speak to them right, when your facing the right way and the signal strength is good — your doing a good thing on the moon, mining all that material that your species needs.

As we cascade into 2020 with my eyes wide open, with my effective steemhunt smart contract closing after nearly two years and the decade falling away like an 80’s video mixer effect I’m thankful for not the things I’ve been given but the journey on myself that it’s taken to get here — the older, maybe more wiser about myself (not the world) I get the better I feel because I’m no longer chasing shadows of a former self.

In an algorithm based world the currency isn’t the value of the token, it’s the access to even acquire that — if you think class structure is bad now you wait until you need a certain amount of time served in a value economy and have to convert your time tokens into something just to access resources to be able to eat, we rapidly need to switch from consumers of the system and instead be contributors to the new network.

Buying in is not strictly just a numbers game, it’s a rounded person human algorithm game, it’s not just skills, it’s experiences, it’s connections, it’s the way you have navigated the murky waters of experiments and adoptions of the right tools built by the right people for the right purpose.

You have twelve days from today to make peace with the person you are today, locked into a life smart contract of a relationship, career or otherwise.

The start of a new year, heck a new decade, a new blank slate is coming in under two weeks — yes, the world is hurting, it’s in pain, we are all adjusting to the hard realities of additional attributes in our world that we never considered before. .. but maybe that’s the point of being a species, we have to evolve and a lot of us have been asleep and apathetic at the wheel for too long.

If you ever needed a reason to wake, walk and engage with the world outside of your window, the 2020 version of your new smart contract is it.
