Once again for our crytpo community, the Smartcash cryptocurrency team in Puerto Ordaz recently travel to the El CRISTO in La Paragua, town 180 kilometers south of the capital of the Bolivar State. In this opportunity, we were contacted by the doctor Alberto Cabello and his foundation “Oncoamigos” in conjunction with the Universidad de Oriente ask our team to finance their ALL DAY MEDICAL CARE FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN at this community. In this small village the main source of work is the artisanal gold mining and secondly agriculture. Recent health problems have emerged due to lack of good medical care, diseases like malaria, dengue fever, dysentery have strike many habitants of this village (adults and children). This is Dr. Cabello’s hometown, he may have left for the city but he has not forgotten his people, so he came with the idea of performing and ALL-DAY CARE FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN over there with the help of the Smartcash Community Projects Funding.

On May 31st we head to Cd. Bolivar to meet with the group of students that volunteer to help with the day care, alongside with professors of the department of parasitology of the Universidad de Oriente and members of the ONCOAMIGOS group. Despite our transportation cancelling on the last minute, we manage to solve this problem and began our journey towards El Cristo, once there we took a 10-minute trip to the Cabello’s Family Hacienda where we receive the guidelines for the upcoming all day medical care event.
On Friday June the 1st, the team gear up and prepared for a very long day ahead of work. Pediatricians, Oncologists, Rheumatologist, Parasitologist, specialist of different kind, all gathered up to contribute with this community to provide all who wanted free medical assistance an ALL DAY MEDICAL CARE.
We divided the team in groups each with a very important task in the triage of the process, from interviewing the patient, consulting, anthropometrics studies, taking blood stool and urine samples, giving medication to those who needed it.
At the end of the All Day Medical Care in El Cristo community, the team performed 120 doors to door census, 60 cytologic studies, pediatrics check 144 children, rheumatology check 100 Px, The Interns performed 120 blood glucose analysis, and the guys from pediculosis check 97 children. All of this was achieved by a group of only 28 people of health care professionals.
Once again, we are grateful for the help of Smartcash and the smarthive projects for the community to help those in need, and hope in the near future to continue bringing people close together, to help each other, and to make them understand that there are other ways of helping your community, and that it isn't an issue of money but more an issue of willing, the will to change the world the SMART way.
