How I stopped worrying and bought the SmartCash dip

Recently the crypto market has shown signs of recovery, with bitcoin price rising and lifting most altcoins in the process

Why hasn't SmarCash risen?

There are lots of factors that influence the price of a coin, but the important factors to look for here are, in my opinion volume transaction and bitcoin correlation index.

SmartCash can only be bought on small exchanges

At the moment, SMART is only listed on a few exchanges, small ones. I have made a post here, where I detailed my first purchase, using the cryptowolf exchange. My purchase was quite small, at around 1000 SMART. Big investors don't really bother with smaller exchanges, for many obvious reasons. The low volume is easily explained by this fact. The moment smartcash is listed on one of the bigger exchanges, we will see volume significantly increase.

SmartCash has a low correlation index in respect to Bitcoin

What this means is the fact that there is not a strong connection between SmartCash price and Bitcoin price.We saw this when bitcoin price dropped hard last week smart stayed more or less put and unfortunately now, when bitcoin surged and SmartCash did not. If we can maintain this low correlation when volume increases, I believe it will be good thing, long term. One of the things I do not enjoy as an altcoin investor, is seeing my favorite project go down with Bitcoin. That Bitcoin dominance percentage needs to go down significantly. But at the moment the reality is that investors still flock to bitcoin, as this is the safest asset in their mind to hold in this bearish market.

Even as you are reading this, there are great efforts being made to list SmartCash in bigger exchanges. Great project launches are around the corner, like the smartcard initiative. You can see the projects completed and the projects that have been funded, here. This, coupled with more merchant adoption, will definitely raise the profile of SmartCash and in time increase the coin's price.

That being said, this is an extremely exciting time to become a SmartCash investor. By all signs, the current value of SMART is severely undervalued. You can invest as little as 150$ for 1000 coins and start earning smartrewards. You can make a more significant investment for 10000 coins and set up a smart node. This will generate you a passive income, all the while giving you an asset that has tremendous potential to increase in value by several orders of magnitude.

Agree with this, and the lack of correleation is good in my opinion. This is a great little currency. I love the community and the project proposals. The support team is transparent. I'm loving the cheap price... can't ask for more.

The lack of "big" exchanges is sure hurting the price to some extent. But people seem to forget that smartcash is still a very, very young project. It has been around for only 9-10 months and has done wonderfully well so far for such a new crypto.
