The @smartfund initiative, including further post creation has been discontinued, active posts will be unvoted.

The remaining liquid funds were sent to @null, essentially burning them.

thank you. i see your drive to make steem for your investors. maybe consider “free”
votes on content whenever your bot is not generating revenue?

Thank you roeland, the goal was it simply to stay competitive, without being punished for being stricter with guidelines and blacklisting. But I do see the point how weird it might look, that @smartfund was essentially doing something similar, even very transparent.

The idea with giving free votes away to good content is pretty cool, however, it could be gamed by people not using smartsteem especially to get some free votes.

Regardless, I'm currently redesigning Smartsteem completely and the idea is noted and saved.
