The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is a surprising device. It features a top-tier spec list and premium build for around $600. The construction includes premium materials like ceramic, gorilla glass and aluminum. The Mi Mix 2 has a FHD+ IPS display (not OLED but nice). The more I think about it the Mi Mix 2 is a competitive device. This kind of build and spec for this price is quite impressive.

*READ THIS… At one point in this video I state that the Mi Mix 2 is “expensive”. I’d like to clarify… I think more of that had to do with the fact that I had to import the device. When you consider it’s selling price in local markets it’s actually quite competitive. Unfortunately the only way to get the Mi Mix 2 in North America is by importing it. That said, the LTE bands on the Mix 2 will work on North American carriers. If you do choose to import to North America expect to pay somewhere between $550-$650 USD - Not a bad deal honestly but that ticket price launches it into a different realm of competition. Still a better value than any of the $1000 smartphones in my opinion.
