Yota Devices has officially launched the double sided display YotaPhone 3 a successor to the YotaPhone 2 in China. If you’re not familiar, the YotaPhone is an Android device with two displays. A regular display and a secondary e-ink display on the back. The device will be up for pre-order from Chinese online retailer JD.com from September 5, while shipping starts from September 18 onwards.
Coming to the specs Yota Phone 3 runs YotaOS 3.0 an Android,7.1.1 base OS out of the box Nougat and features a two side display, a 5.5 inches full-HD amoled front display with 1080 x 1980 pixel resolution and a 5.2 inches E-Ink secondary display at the back with a resolution of 720p. Yota phone 3 gets powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The device has an internal storage capacity 0f 64 GB/128 GB.
In the optics department YOTA3 features a 13-megapixel camera coupled with dual-tone LED flash. On the front is the 12-megapixel selfie snapper. The smartphone houses a 3300mAh battery that supports USB Type-C port for charging.
The YotaPhone 3 will be available in two storage models. The base model priced at CNY 2,398 (roughly Rs. 23,050) has 4 GB of RAM and a native storage of 64 GB. The other model priced at CNY 3,098 (roughly Rs 29,000) features 4 GB of RAM and an inbuilt storage of 128 GB.
The YotaPhone 3 will be first sold in Russia and China starting in September while it will be made available in other markets in the later dates. There is, however, no word on when this smartphone will be launched in India.
