So I am super confused as to whether the blood, blue full moon has already happened or if it is set to happen tonight...and what time. I googled and am getting both answers. Perhaps the rest of the world is confused as well! However, the last few nights, there have been some spectacular moon risings around dusk and I have shot them with my phone from my porch.
It is amazing in this picture how clear our volcano, Baru, is! Can you see him sleeping? It is nice that he has not been active in the last 500 years and hopefully he continues to sleep!!
We literally have one of the best views of Baru from our porch. I was out walking our dog and had to run back in and grab my phone. This is something I just could not pass up! A cloudless Baru with a beautiful moon made for an excellent photo opportunity!!
I shot this picture on Monday night thinking it was great. I love the colors in it, but I was hoping to get a clear shot of Baru.
Praise the Creator for his majestic artistry!

I really like that last photo for the interesting clouds and feel. It would have been fun to watch that. It was at 7:29 AM our time but, alas, the skies were cloudy.

This was last night around 6 pm. I'm not sure what it looked like after that as I locked myself in the house. My daughter said it was super bright shining in her window. I should have gone to look!

Amazing capture of the moon above the sleeping volcano. The moon looks so bright like a sun about to set and you have a perfect view of Baru.

Love the photos, my friend. I am not sure when the moon thing was happening but last night after my practice the moon was so close. It seemed like it is really not as far as the scientist say. It felt more like an hour away flight to reach the surface of it. I wish I took the photo. :)
Let's hope that volcano never wakes up again. You sure do have some amazing view from your porch. Beautiful scenery created by our Creator for us to enjoy. :)
