MOSQUE Rahmatullah Lampuuk, Aceh Besar. Of course still in our memory of this mosque. He was one of the silent witnesses of the magnitude of the tsunami that occurred in Aceh 14 years ago, December 26, 2004. The first mosque built on 19 March 1990 or 21 Syakban 1410 H was able to stand firmly from the brunt of the tsunami, while the surrounding was devastated.
Many pilgrims from outside Aceh are still faithful to visit this mosque, especially during the month of #Ramadhan as it is today. The mosque is located just 500 meters from the sea lips and still stands firmly after being hit by the 2004 tsunami.
In the month of #Ramadhan as it is today, this mosque is often visited by outsiders in Aceh. It seems, if arriving in Banda Aceh is incomplete if not to visit this mosque. The pilgrims or visitors as if how the powerful tsunami that struck Aceh from this mosque.
Because, in the building of this mosque is still remaining chunks and broken pillars of the mosque that hit the giant waves. "This is deliberately used as a monument to remember the tsunami that hit Aceh," said H Anwar, a local resident who is now living Banda Aceh.
Although it has been renovated by the Turkish Red Crescent Institute, the remains of the tsunami ruins were retained. In addition to the former ruins of buildings, the mosque was first inaugurated the then Governor of Aceh, Prof Dr H Syamsuddin Mahmud, on 10 Jumadil Early 1818 H or 12 September 1997, there are also photos of the atmosphere of the mosque pascatsunami displayed on the glass wall that fences monumen the rest of the tsunami
The mosque itself was completed two years after the tsunami and was inaugurated by the then Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, Mehmet Ali Sahin, two years after the tsunami, on December 26, 2006.
As we know, Lampuuk is one of the worst areas hit by the Aceh tsunami December 26, 2004. Of the total population at that time reached 6,000-an, only about 700 people left alone. Besides, being a victim. In addition, the house residents flatten to the ground, the only remaining Rahmatullah Mosque!

Serial #Masjid-3: Masjid Rahmatullah Lampuuk Saksi Bisu Tsunami
MASJID Rahmatullah Lampuuk, Aceh Besar.
