First. It's a good gesture that when you comment, you comment with an upvote to the post.

Second, when you ask people to follow you, make sure you follow them first.

Third. You don't have to ask people to follow you. Instead, ask them to see a quality post you made by offering a link to it and let them see it so that they can decide to follow you or not.
