Crimson sunset / Smartphone photography series by Cookie

The sun paints the sky in different colors as the day comes to an end and it seems that someone accidentally dropped paints and spilled them all over the dome of the sky. When it touches the horizon and starts dipping below, the colors become darker and more saturated.

The warmth of the picture is in contrast with the frosty weather, but this crimson sunset makes it look like the evening of a hot sunny day.

I like a small detail in this photograph which is a building standing alone as if it is the only survived and the night has not gobbled it up yet. It overtops the others like an unbroken hero, but when the sun dips below the horizon, it will not escape from the darkness.
