Sharing a cool Pour we did for our sonsteemCreated with Sketch.

Today we are going to share a couple of fun pours that we gave our 17 year old for Christmas!
guitar picks dev.jpg

A 10.8 gram sterling and a 10 gram 12K gold Guitar pick, He asked for his first guitar about 3 years ago and has taught himself, he now plays guitar, bass and keyboards.Lucky for us he is really good and likes classic rock and lot of 90’s music. He has lots of musician friends and they spend all of their playing and writing music.
These were a very special gift, we bought him a silver 1 oz guitar pick for his birthday and he was a little disappointed he couldn’t play with it, once we started pouring we knew this we had to make him one. Not only did he love his present but they are really nice to play with too. The gold has a real deep sound and the silver sounds really rich, it is really cool to hear the differences.
Here is a quick sample from Christmas day of him using the 12K gold pick

We have sold several since then and it is really cool when we custom stamp the name on it that we know that it will be used to make some awesome music. This is real silver and Gold that you can play with, Metals are so amazing-our art can be used to make more art by someone else!

Thanks for reading and Happy Stacking!

Wow, too cool! 😎 Great story!

Those are wicked. What an awesome idea. I'd be too nervous to play with those, though. Not just messing around, but to really rock out. I'd always be thinking about scratching the guitar.

Great looking pieces, did you sand cast them. Thanks for sharing.

yes they are sand cast, only way to get them thin enough :) the stamping is what takes a little work, did it to give them enough grip, the metal is too slippery lol

Thanks for the info. I have been looking into getting some deft clay and 2 piece molds.

Checkout pmcsupplies.com they have everything and are very helpful, before you buy double check sometimes but is cheaper on their eBay store.

Thanks that's the exact place i was looking just need a little advise.

That was great and very nice gift he can use. Rock on🤘🏻

That’s a good story and a real nice gift. I’m sure he appreciates it.

Those are very cool!

Now that is friggin awesome. 👍

What an awesome gift. Was stamping something that thin hard? I'm just getting into this and haven't stamped anything.......yet. :)

Stamping is a challenge on most pieces lol

really cool picks.

That was a cool story!! I love the gold pick! I had no idea you could really use them to play a guitar! That totally cool and I love how the different metals produce different sounds! Thanks for sharing!!

Great story and I love how your art can be used to make more art!!
