WOODEN DOOR LOCKED

The photo you see was captured one afternoon which was the door on our old storage house. Most of our unused things are in there. I guess the family prefers keeping old things than throwing them away. It was nearly dark and I just woke up. I don't know what happened or why I felt it but I felt so lonely and then I saw the door was locked. The lock seems not too old compared to the wooden door. If I kick the door, I'm sure it will open but I would not do that. I know that old storage house means something to my oldies.

I looked at it for a while and thought, "Will this scene worth a photo?". I'm not really sure if it will. I decided to try to capture some angles and intended to keep it's original look without much filter or editing. What I wanna show in my photos are not the editing style or skills but the message that can touch the heart of anyone who sees it. What I want to see in any photo I'm looking at is the story behind it and a glimpse to what's inside the heart of the photographer. If this worth a dollar, then I would really appreciate it.

My inspiration:

When I look at this "not so old" lock locking the old door. I realize that some news things in life must replace the old. I guess that's what we call innnovation or science and technology. Kids before are happy reading books or playing outside the house with their friends and neighboors but now, it's a different matter. We see tablets, laptops, and smartphones everywhere. Books are nearly forgotten due to internet. Thought I don't have any arguements about the internet because I know it's a great thing specially in the age on information we're in now. I just thought, maybe the old things that brings happiness to many of us before can fill the thirst of our hearts tired of stressed life.

I would always want to keep my objectivity and always try by best not to stick with emotions when I'm deciding on something. That way, I can at least be sure that the result would be for the best benefit of whoever or whatever. I just can't help my tears sometimes to fall whenever something reminds me of the past I had to endure to get at least alive now and this lock reminds me of the dreams I had that I think I need to forget and find a new one. I don't understand why my life turned 360 degreess different than what I expected when I'm just a little stupid kid. I guess I'll just have to accept it for this is called "fate" because no matter how hard I try to understand it, it doesn't make sense.
