Sculpture Honoring Native Americans

in smartphonephotography •  7 years ago  (edited)

This is a sculpture by Hungarian immigrant, Peter Wolf Toth. He created and gifted one of these for each US state in a project called, "Trail of the Whispering Giants". This one is 40 feet tall and in Winslow Arizona

"I study the Indians of the area, then visualize an Indian within the log. It is a composite of all the native people of the state." - Peter W Toth

Was stoked to see how the morning light was on it.
