Very cool photo...Dubai needs a ton of power and being able to use the land under the power lines is important.
Growing crops will benefit the city and make good use of the land. Very good thinking here. Good to know some governments are thinking of the best interests for their people.

Yeah there are precious few governments that care about their people and making good choices with limited resources. We seem to be going backwards while some countries like Dubai, are looking to the future and making it happen. Not just talking the talk.

There are some known issues and some unknowns. That's why they won't permit people to live under these pylons. Just to be safe. Crops would be fine I assume? They would need do tests to be sure.

I think they are looking at all possibilities. They first need to put in irrigation and then I assume they would choose what crops would do well there. They have more or less constant sunshine so anything it possible. Probably hydroponic based greenhouses. tip!
