Today we visited Figo (our dog) his brother Floris.
On the left Figo, on the right Floris.
The are brothers so both males. The come from a nest of six brothers total, and are now both 4 years old.
The Basenji can by difficult to handel with other dogs, it was one of the topics between bosses today, but Floris and Figo have a special bond. The see each other 3 ore 4 times a year and it's always a party for both of them.
If you let them go, they play!!

Hey, een mede Nederlander, dat typt toch een stukje makkelijker. Shepherds zijn inderdaad ook prachtige dieren, en luisteren ook zo goed, zeker in vergelijking met de Basenji ;-)
Maar is er eentje die je wel eens tegen komt? Ze zijn behoorlijk zeldzaam.

Hahaha dat typt zeker een stukje makkelijker. Nee ik kom ze nooit tegen. Maar ik ben lang een actief lid van Hondenpage geweest, en daar was toen iemand ook heel actief met een roedel van 3 Basenji's. Ik vond het aan de hand van de foto's heel leuke honden. Ja ze zijn wel wat eigenzinnig heb ik begrepen. Maar vergis je niet in Herders, die staan wel bekend om het goede luisteren, maarje moet maar net een exemplaar hebben die vergeet dat ie herder is ;-) Dat is hier het geval. Onze Hollandse schone luistert dus echt alleen als zij daar zin in heeft ... en dat is meer niet dan wel. Herders kunnen ook enorme blaffers zijn, dat is dan echt weer even wat minder. Dat is dus met onze Lana ook het geval ... waardoor zij de rest van de roedel daarin mee trekt, en we nu dus vier blaffers hebben helaas.
