TWL (Team Wario Land, for its acronym in English) is a group of Venezuelan players of SSB4 (video game combat for the console of Nintendo Wii U) consisting of 18 people, among which are players, network administrators and collaborators .

Before being an official group, we occasionally met to practice casually among ourselves with the sole purpose of having fun and having a good time despite the difficulties we face daily in our country. Later on, we turned those casual practices into something more serious, because most of them began to show evident skills that would make a difference later in the competitive scene. Thanks to this, this year we managed to obtain our first official sponsorships from Power Gaming and Black and Blue, both local companies.

"Smash Venezuela" is the community where all Super Smash players are related in the country, and it is customary to organize weekly tournaments (called Weeklys) or monthly (called Monthlys). For more than a year since its formation our team has been gaining prestige throughout the country, not only for the tournaments we have organized on our own, but also for the great performance of our members, who have demonstrated the positive result of the constancy in training, the friendship that unites us and the passion for the game.

At the end of this year, we hope to have among the Top 10 National (that is, the 10 players with the best performance in the year) to 3 of our players, which would be an impressive achievement.

While we have performed well in the competitive scene, this has not been easy, since many of our players do not have GC controls, nor enough money to afford a ticket to tournaments in other states, and some do not even have the console same to practice from home. These are part of the reasons why we turned to GoFundme, to help us finance these little things with which we could fulfill our dreams of being the best SSB4 players in the country, and to have the opportunity to participate in international tournaments.

TWL (Team Wario Land, por sus siglas en inglés) es un grupo de jugadores venezolanos de SSB4 (videojuego de combate para la consola de Nintendo Wii U) conformado por 14 personas, entre las cuales están los jugadores, administradores de las redes y colaboradores.

Antes de ser un grupo oficial, ocasionalmente nos reuníamos para practicar de forma casual entre nosotros mismos con el único fin de divertirnos y pasar un buen rato pese a las dificultades que afrontamos a diario en nuestro país. Más adelante, convertimos esas prácticas casuales en entrenamientos algo mas serios, debido a que la mayoría empezó a mostrar destrezas evidentes que darían la talla luego en la escena competitiva. Gracias a esto, este año logramos obtener nuestros primeros patrocinios oficiales por parte de Publigames y Black and Blue, ambas empresas locales.

"Smash Venezuela" es la comunidad en donde se relacionan todos los jugadores de Super Smash en el país, y es costumbre que se organicen torneos semanales (llamados Weeklys) o bien mensuales (llamados Monthlys). Desde hace mas de un año desde su formación nuestro equipo ha ido ganando prestigio en todo el país, no solo por los torneos que hemos organizado por nuestra cuenta, sino también por el gran desempeño de nuestros integrantes, quienes han demostrando el resultado positivo de la constancia en los entrenamientos, la amistad que nos une y la pasión por el juego.

A finales de este año, esperamos tener entre el Top 10 Nacional (es decir, los 10 jugadores con mejor desempeño en el año) a 3 de nuestros jugadores, lo cual sería un logro impresionante.

Si bien nos hemos desenvuelto de excelente manera en la escena competitiva, esto no ha sido fácil, puesto que muchos de nuestros jugadores no poseen controles GC, ni dinero suficiente para costearse un pasaje para torneos en otros estados, y algunos ni siquiera poseen la consola misma para practicar desde casa. Estas son parte de las razones por las cuales recurrimos a Steemit, para ayudarnos a financiar estas pequeñas cosas con las cuales podríamos cumplir nuestros sueños de ser los mejores jugadores de SSB4 del país, y poder tener la oportunidad de participar en torneos internacionales.
