I'm pretty sure it didn't work, however the condition of the NES makes me believe otherwise...maybe not?

Who knows. This was back in 2009. I got it from a friend. It was coming apart but looked to be in decent condition, as well as the games. Had I gotten this a year or so later I would have kept it/sold it, not destroy it.
