5 Benefits Of Smoking

in smoking •  7 years ago

Because everyone knows the risks of smoking, I am thinking it is interesting to know some benefits of smoking.

1. Smoking reduce the risk of knee surgery.

2. Reduce the risk of Parkinson disease.

3. Reduce the risk of death from heart attacks.

4. Reduce the risk of obesity.

5. Helps clopidogrel in its action.

Clopidogrel is a medicament used to inhibit the formation of blood clots for patients with circulatory diseases.

Despite of these few benefits, smoking has dozens of risks. STOP SMOKING!

This wasn't what I was expecting. Never thought to saw a post with benefits on smoking. My friend has told me various benefits of smoking tobacco and I can agree with him there. He's started to win me over to the idea of cigars. At least cigars are a little cleaner than cigarettes. I'm living in China now and smoking is HUGE here. There are people smoking everywhere and smokes are dirt cheap.

Same in Romania, but overall smoking is not healthy :D

I didn't know smoking can do all these. The only benefit of smoking I know is it makes me take a shit easily lol

LOL

:)) I am trying to quit smoking...

Only quitters quit man! So, don't quit!

If I quit smoking, I win a lot man :D

If you quit smoking, you'll suffer from depression and it will make you look old. Do you want to look old?

ok dude Im just joking. Jokes aside, yeah we all need to quit. haha! I tried vaping last year, no cigarette for 3 months and then it came back. Now Im back again. it s so hard eh?

Well the first benefit i think it is for all of us the smokers (and i include myself here) that we will die earlier! Since i am as well i heavy smoker i am planning to quit but i think is going to be a very difficult mission so @jwolf i am looking forward to see a post with how did i manage to quit smoking! I think a post like that will generate a lot of hype!

It will be so hard. But I will try man :D

Oh nooo! Smoking cigarets and drinking alcohol is the worst...!

If you want to stop smoking cigarets, just switch to weed..! ;) Buy a vaporizer and inhale just the vape. You will becume superhuman after that, trust me! :D

haha, I want to quit smoking and I don't want to smoke weed :D

Why don't you want to smoke weed? ;) Weed is actually really good for you, if you don't abuse it..;) It is a superfood and a medicine of the future and the past (before it got illegal in 1930s)

6, allegedly, the only survivors of the black plague were those who smoked tobacco.
With what ever the hell they are spraying in our skies I will not be quitting smoking.

thanks for completion the post!

no worries

Never smoked @jwolf !!! Just The other part 😂😂😂

lol @ no.5

Smoking increases ones risk of bloodclots. Contradictory statement don't you think? ;)

nope. you just have to read carefully :D

Perhaps you should be more careful with reading ;)

Sure it aids in the absorption... well metabolisation of Clopidrel which is in anticoagulant.

Cigarette smoking is a known inducer of CYP1A2 and its activity increases relative to the number of cigarettes smoked per day. Importantly, CYP1A2 is the predominant isoenzyme responsible for the first of the two oxidative steps required for clopidogrel to be metabolized into its active metabolite.

I think the risk of clot formation from smoking though (especially in those on medications such as oral contraceptives or HRT) far outweighs any benefit of Clopidrel synergy. Seems contradictory but w/e. Just my 2c.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand.

As another BENEFIT of smoking I would say it helps stop hiccups! If you ever have the hiccups - one drag of a cigarette is usually enough to stop them! xD

Smoking also tends to be somewhat of a social lubricant especially in many european countries.

hahah you are trying to quit smoking, so you make a post about the positive site of smoking? sounds like a very interesting tactic :P

yes lol :))

I once read a book written for someone that's trying to quit smoking. The chapter about the benefits of smoking was the quickest chapter i've ever read in my life.... it was blank. Lol!
