우표를 붙이는 재래식 우편은 주고 받으려면 여러날이 걸린다. 빛의 속도로 전달되는 e-mail 이 나오면서 느린 우편이라는 의미로 "snail mail"이라는 별명이 붙었다.
오랜만에 학교때 친구들이 모인다고 e-mail로 연락이 왔다.
다섯명이서 확인하고 서로 가능한 날짜를 알리고 취합하고 하다보니 모임 날짜를 정하는데 이틀이 걸렸다. 카톡 같은 메신저로 했음 한시간도 안되서 끝날 일이지만 e-mail 로 하니 바로 바로 확인도 안되고 하니 하루를 훌쩍 넘겨버렸다.
이제는 e-mail이 달팽이가 되어 버린거 같다
