A vigorously intoxicated man bit a snake at his homestead and slaughtered the reptile.
Specialists who treated the man said the snake was a venomous one and he was fortunate to have survived, reports the NDTV.
The unusual episode occurred on Saturday at Pacher town in Sabalpur tehsil, around 40 kilometers from Morena.
Specialist Raghvendra Yadav of the region clinic revealed to PTI that Jalim Singh Kushwaha was conveyed to the doctor's facility in an oblivious state. He was released on Saturday after treatment.
Villagers revealed to PTI that Kushwaha saw a dark shaded snake at his homestead and, in his daze, bit the snake. It passed on after a short time, they included.
Dr Yadav included that Kushwaha may have terrified and lost awareness after he understood that he had bit a snake.
It was venomous and on the off chance that it had countered or if any part of its venom had entered his circulation system, it could have been deadly for Kushwaha,' Dr Yadav said.
